Next week, my wife and I are taking a much deserved family vacation to Charleston, SC. More specifically, Isle of Palms. Time for some “beach therapy”. Our twin, one year old, Southern Gentlemen are obviously joining us.
One of the many things I love about my wife is her planning skills. I happened to take a look at my wife’s packing list for the boys and thought it would be important to note some of the essentials that we are bringing with us so the boys can begin to enjoy the beach as much as we have. It is kind of funny when you think that we are taking the boys to enjoy the sun and sand, and many of the items that we are bringing are designed to keep the sun and the sand off them. This way we can ease our children in to vacay mode, and not just dunk them into it, much like Daddy had to at baby swim lessons (probably more dramatic for me than them). Most of baby care products come in travel sizes, so we may not need a Sherpa to accompany us on our trip.
What are some of your favorite things to bring to the beach for the kiddies? What products do you think are a waste of time and money?
